This week’s Coffee County Central High School “Student of the Week” is sophomore Erin Ferrell.

Ferrell is a tremendous student who challenges herself with honors and advanced placement classes.  She earned all A’s last semester and carries a 4.0 grade point average.  As a result, Erin has earned a place in our local National Honor Society chapter.

Ferrell is a member of the Lady Raider softball team where she plays second base and pitches.  Coach Steve Wilder bragged on Ferrell saying, “She is one of those people that everyone loves to be around.  She is a great teammate and is always picking people up when they are down.  She works hard on the ball field as well as in the classroom.”

Ferrell says her favorite class is AP Psychology with Mrs. Kelly Smith.  Ferrell is interested in a career in the psychology field and Smith believes she has the demeanor to make her goal a reality.

Smith said, “Erin is attentive and good at helping others.  She has the care and compassion needed to be empathetic to the needs of others.”

Ferrell’s hobbies include reading and softball.  She especially likes to help her younger cousins learn the game she loves.

Congratulations to the CHS Student of the Week Erin Ferrell.
