As they did last night, the CHS Red Raiders played another close baskeball game in the Central Magnet Classic, but this time they came out on top by defeating Hume-Fogg 44-40.
Lance and Lucas Crismond led Coffee County in scoring with 15 points each. Anthony Jackson had 8, Brock Ivey-Bodman sank one 3-point shot, and Lake Elam added three points, all critical free-throws late in the fourth period.
The victory came as a true team effort, noted Coffee County Coach Scott Givens.
The win follows a 45-44 loss to Kingsbury of Memphis Thursday night in the first game of the Classic in Murfreesboro.
Coffee County plays its first district game next Friday at Warren County.
