Raiders fall in sectionals to Smyrna

The Central High School soccer Raiders made it farther in the postseason than any Coffee County school has ever done before, but the season finally ended Saturday with a 4-0 loss at Smyrna in a sectional match.

Sectional competition winnows the top 16 teams down to the eight that move on to the state tournament next week in Murfreesboro.

half, which ended with Smyrna up by one goal. Midway through the second period, however, Smyrna broke it open and scored three more goals quickly.

The Raiders finish the season at 10-8-3 overall.
