Graveside services for Mrs. Juanita Clark, age 58 of Manchester will be conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, May 23 at the Blanton Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Danny Anderson officiating. Visitation with the Clark family will be from 4-9 p.m., Wednesday at Manchester Funeral Home. Mrs. Clark passed away Sunday evening at Harton Hospital surrounded by her family. Mrs. Clark was born in Manchester, Tennessee the daughter of the late Clint W. Crocker, Jr and Edna Pruitt Crocker. She was a former Supervisor for PCA and was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, W. C. Stephens. Mrs. Clark is survived by: one son, Quinton (Holly) Clark of Manchester; four sisters, Frieda Haley of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Pat Barlow of Nashville, Edith Pairlee (Kittrell) Parker of Manchester, Nettie (Roger) Lyle of Hopkinsville, Ky.; 2 grandchildren- Mattie and Trent Clark; Several Nieces and Nephews. Smithson, John Henry of Tullahoma, passed this life on Friday, May 17th, 2013 at Lynchburg Nursing Center at the age of 77. Cunningham, David William, of Murfreesboro, died Friday, May 17th, 2013. The family will hold a private memorial service in Bell Buckle on Wednesday, May 22nd with burial to follow at Hazel Cemetery. Graveside services for Mr. Terry Dale Davis, age 65 of Manchester were conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the Concord Cemetery with Pastor Mike Owens officiating. Visitation with the Davis family was Tuesday, May 14th, from 4-8 p.m. at Manchester Funeral Home. Mr. Davis passed away Saturday at the Medical Center of Manchester. Terry was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan the son of the late Robert E. Davis and Madeline Knight Davis. He was a partner at Mid State Tire in Tullahoma and was a veteran of the US Marine Corps. Terry loved traditional blacksmithing, shooting his guns, woodcrafting, was a knife maker and in his younger years was a body builder. He enjoyed teaching others the crafts he practiced. Mr. Davis was of the Pentecostal faith. Terry is survived by: His wife of 29 years, Debra Davis of Manchester; twin children- Austin Davis and Abby Davis; two brothers- Ray Davis of Lynchburg, Tenn. and Randall (Pat) Davis of Atlanta, Ga.; one sister- Sharon (Jim) Middleton of Atlanta, Ga.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Schulze Ashley, age 104 of Manchester will be conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 22 at St. Bede’s Episcopal Church with Rev. Mary Hassell officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the Ashley family will be conducted from 6pm until 8pm Tuesday at Manchester Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be Ron Bingham, John Greeter, Shaw Jared, Reeves Turney, Jim Enos and Richard Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Buster Bush, Jim Major, Terry Pardue and Rick Charter. Mrs. Ashley passed away Sunday morning at the Horizon Health and Rehab Center in Manchester. Mrs. Ashley was born in Tracy City, Tennessee the daughter of the late Oscar and Emma Hunziker Schulze. She moved to Manchester when she and Joe Ashley were married in 1948. Although they did not have any children, she touched the lives of generations of children during her teaching career with the Manchester City School System for 44 years. She was an avid reader and had read up until her eyesight began to fail. She enjoyed playing bridge and she and Joe traveled extensively during their marriage, visiting all 50 states as well as several foreign countries. Mrs. Ashley was a member of St. Bede’s Episcopal Church since it was built, was a member of Delta Kappa Sigma Sorority for over 60 years and a member of the literary forum and the Coffee County Retired Teachers. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ashley was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Ashley, by 1 brother, Herman Schulze and 2 sisters, Mrs. Louise Greeter and Mrs. Mabel Tate. Her survivors are: nieces- Mrs. Helen Scaglia of Lafayette, Indiana, Mrs. Kathryn Fletcher of Chattanooga, Mrs. Marianna Daulton of Albany, Georgia and Mrs. Nancy Buck of Montgomery, Alabama; Nephew- Richie (Dick) Ashley of Columbia, Tennessee; Longtime friends, caregivers and neighbors, Reeves and Donna Turney of Manchester. Funeral services for Mr. Terry Dale Jacobs, age 47 of Manchester, were conducted at 2 p.m., Friday, May 17, 2013 at the Wilson Chapel Church (Hoodoo) with Brother Virgil Alford officiating. Visitation with the family was from noon until time of service. Burial followed at the Anderson Family Cemetery in the Hoodoo Community. Mr. Davis passed away at his home after an extended illness. Larry was born in Cannon County, the son of Paul Maurice Jacobs and Ruth Anderson Brown. In addition to his parents, Larry is survived by his son, Cody Jacobs of Murfreesboro, TN and two grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Edward and James Edward Jacobs. Clyde Elmer Underwood, age 88 went to be with the Lord on May14, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Wilma Jean, daughters Patsy (Joe) Rose and Sally (Chuck) Hopper, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Clyde is a veteran of WWII serving in the US Navy from 1943-1946. He graduated from Middle Tennessee State University majoring in Business Administration and went on to be Vice Presdient of First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Tarpon Springs. He has lived and served in the West Pasco since 1972 coming from the Detroit, Michigan area. He is a member of First Baptist Church of New Port Richey and served for over 25 years as the church treasurer. He also served as an active member of the West Pasco Gideons Camp. He will be dearly missed by many.
