Rescue squad to host open house Saturday; dinner on June 1

The Coffee County Rescue Squad will host an open house in celebration of its 50th year from 1-5 p.m. Saturday. The event will be at the rescue squad building, 2270 Murfreesboro Hwy. in Manchester. Call 931-728-1785 for more information.

Food and entertainment will be on hand for the open house. Free hot dogs, snacks and drinks will be available as well as music from Jeff Batson, the National Guard rock wall, AirEvac, Heaven Bound Cloggers, a bounce house, finger painting and more.

The squad will also have a chicken and barbeque dinner from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. on June 1 at the rescue squad building. Plates for $7 include chicken or barbeque, baked beans, cole slaw, texas toast and a drink. Call 728-1785 to reserve a ticket.
