Yates, Mary Helen, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Harton Regional Medical Center at the age of 77. MCINTOSH

Betty June Grant McIntosh age 82 of Manchester, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at United Regional Medical Center. On May 23, 1930 in Bladon, England the late Leonard and Beatrice Grant welcomed to the world Betty June Grant. During World War II she met the love of her life Charles McIntosh. After they were married Betty moved to the United States with Charles where they lived in Chicago, Zion, IL and finally moving to Manchester in 1993 to be close to family. Ms. McIntosh retired in 1991 after working with troubled kids in group homes. She was a dedicated and faithful member of the Decherd Church of God until her health started failing her. She will be remembered by her family as a strong, gentle, loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles McIntosh; daughter, Julie Brimhall and parents, Leonard and Beatrice Grant. She is survived by her daughters, Nine Daniels and Margaret McIntosh both of Manchester; sons, Edward McIntosh of Zion, IL, Jonathan McIntosh of Manchester and Michael (July) McIntosh of Malta, IL; brother, Lionel (Beryl) Grant of England; 17 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 23, 2013 from the chapel of Watson-North Funeral Home. Interment followed in Shady Grove Cemetery where she was laid to rest next to her husband, Charles McIntosh. Visitation was 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Watson-North Funeral Home. AXLEROAD

Funeral services for Mrs. Yeuvawn Scott Axleroad, age 84 of Manchester were conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 25 at the Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charles Williams officiating. Burial followed in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the Axleroad family was from 5-9 p.m., Friday at Manchester Funeral Home. Mrs. Axleroad passed away Wednesday morning at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Axleroad was born in Morgan County, Alabama the daughter of the late Edward Franklin Scott and Nettie Standridge Scott. She volunteered at hospitals in the Chattanooga area for many years and was a homemaker. Mrs. Axleroad was also a Pottery maker and painted her own china. She also enjoyed gardening and weaving. Mrs. Axleroad was a member of the LCE Home Demonstration Club in the Asbury Community. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Axleroad, and by two brothers, Clifton A. Scott and William A. Scott. Her survivors are: one brother, Billy Ray Scott of Ridgecrest, Calif.; sister-in-law Mrs. Hazel Scott of Manchester; niece and caregiver, Debbie (Derwin) Vandagriff of Manchester; nieces & nephews Andy Scott, Jennifer (Neal) Simmons, Kathy Birdsong, Patsy Morris, Peggy Swoape, Laura Jane Scott and Gary Scott; several great nieces and nephews. ELLIS

Ellis, Lucille Estelle LaCouture, age 87 of McMinnville and former Manchester, TN resident, passed away on May 23, 2013 at the River Park Hospital in McMinnville. Born in Lynn, Massachusetts, Mrs. Ellis was a homemaker and of the Catholic Faith. She was preceded in death by her husband , the late Carl Odber Ellis in 2009 and parents, Charles LaCouture and Estelle Gicardin LaCouture. Driver, Thomas Bennett of Beech Grove, TN passed away at his home on May 20, 2013 after a long struggle with cancer. He was a well-known mechanic in Coffee County for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Benny Driver and Bertha Lee Simmons Driver. He is survived by his wife, Virgina R. Arnold Driver of Beech Grove, TN; three daughters and six step-children Sylvia (Sydner) Forester of Rising Fawn, GA, Sarah Dickerson of Conway, AR, Selene (Randy) Brown of Manchester, TN, Teresa Norton of Manchester, TN, Deloris (Ed) Patton of Manchester, TN, Danny (Sherry) Brown of Beech Grove, TN, Diane (Steve) Ridner of Manchester, TN, and Ricky (Polly) Brown of Manchester, TN; 18 grandchildren; four brothers, Richard Wayne Driver of Murfreesboro, TN, Huey Clay Driver of Cleveland, TX, Ray Gary Driver of Mufreesboro, TN and Dale S. Driver of Murfreesboro, TN; two sisters,, Faye Driver of Manchester, TN and Marie Nippers of Beech Grove, TN; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation was from 5-9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2013. The Funeral service was conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 from the Chapel of Central Funeral Home with Brother Terry Weaver officiating. Burial followed at the Farrar Hill Cemetery.
