A second arrest has been made involving the Nov. 13, 2012 death of Thomas Colucci.
Connie Sanders King, 37, who was reportedly engaged to Colucci at the time of his death, was arrested by authorities in Daytona Beach, Fla. Tuesday morning and faces charges of felony murder and premeditated first degree murder in Colucci’s death.
According to Coffee County Sheriff Steve Graves, an indictment was issued for King’s arrest by the June term of the Coffee County grand jury. She will be extradited to Tennessee.
King’s arrest comes almost three months after her estranged husband, Troy Lynn King, 41, was arrested in San Diego, Calif. in connection with Colucci’s death and theft of over $1,000. He has since been extradited to Tennessee and is being held in the Coffee County Jail on $1 million bond.
In November, a preliminary autopsy revealed that Colucci died of multiple gunshot wounds. His body was found Tuesday, Nov. 13 in his residence on Maple Springs Road in the Pocahontas community of Coffee County.
Colucci’s body was found by Coffee County Sheriff’s deputies after a passerby saw Connie King covered in blood and “screaming hysterically” for help near the roadway.
Coffee County Sheriff’s Deputies Capt. Frank Watkins and Sgt. Danny Ferrell, along with Coffee County District Attorney Investigator Billy Cook, went to Florida to meet with authorities there and to serve the arrest documents for Connie King.
Connie King is being held in the Volusia County jail on the charge of being a fugitive from justice. She will be extradited to Coffee County to face the charges.
