Rain casts clouds over all-star competition

milton stanley bylineLocal Little League and Babe Ruth all-star play nearly ground to a halt last week with rain-outs of games from Wednesday evening through Sunday.

According to data from the National Weather Service, more than six inches of rain fell those days on the Tullahoma area, where all-star play is being held at Waggoner and Cascade parks. Several Manchester-area teams are still in all-star competition, but for some teams games have been rescheduled three times as a result of persistent rain last week.

As skies have cleared, district all-star play is set to resume Monday evening in Tullahoma.
