The General Excellence Award is the first such award in the paper’s storied 130-year history.

“I think this just goes to show the hard work that everyone in our newsroom puts in to inform our community,” said Josh Peterson, editor of the Manchester Times. “We have a staff here that really cares about news and the integrity of our product, both in print and online. I couldn’t be more proud.”
