Raiders sweep all 3 opponents in preseason jamboree

milton stanley bylineAll three Central High School football squads won their respective scrimmages Friday with preseason wins over Franklin, Warren, and Moore counties at Carden-Jarrell Field.

Each game was a two-quarter scrimmage without kickoffs or punt returns. The freshmen started off the evening with a 6-0 win over the Franklin County frosh. The CHS junior varsity shut out the Warren County JV 18-0, and the varsity downed Moore County 21-6. Overall the Raider squads combined to outscore their opponents 45-6 over six quarters of football.

Coffee County opens the regular season against Battle Ground Academy at 7 p.m. Friday at home.
