milton stanley bylinePlaying perhaps their toughest football opponent of the season, the Coffee County Central High School Red Raiders had no margin of error if they were going to remain competitive Friday. But a five turnover deficit–two fumbles and three interceptions–was enough to keep the Raiders down as they lost to the Lions 35-0 at Columbia.

The Columbia contest was an improvement for the Coffee County defense, which allowed more than 50 points in each of the season’s first two game, but the Raiders’ offense could not sustain a drive long enough to score.

Columbia was Coffee County’s’ first District 8 opponent this season. CHS is now 0-3 for the year.
