CHS golfers sweep district

The Central High School boys and girls golf teams each took first in both team and individual competition in the District 8-AAA tournament at Bear Trace Monday.

ates Matt Johnson (75) and Kyle Johnson (76), who finished fourth and fifth individually. Jacob Prater rounded out the CHS top four with an 82. The Red Raiders’ 300 was 20 strokes ahead of second- and third-place Lawrence County (320) and Shelbyville (321). All three teams advance to region competition.
The CHS girls took the top three individual positions while beating Tullahoma, the second-place team, by 51 strokes. Hollee Sadler (80), Savannah Quick (82) and Megan Kris (88) were the top district shooters for the women. Tullahoma was the second place team at 213, and Lincoln County finished third.
Both CHS teams move on to district competition Monday at Riverbend County Club.
