The Coffee County Central High School girls golf team, as well as one member of the boys squad, are playing a practice round today in preparation for the state golf tournament Tuesday and Wednesday.
Once again this year the state championship will be played on Coffee County’s home course of WillowBrook. CHS girls Hollee Sadler, Savannah Quick and Megan Kriz took the top three individual spots in last week’s region tournament to qualify for state competition as both individuals and a team. Sadler qualified last year to compete as an individual, but this is the first year the Lady Raiders have qualified as a team, according to CHS coach Mike Ray.
The Lady Raiders are expected to face their toughest competition against Warren County and Rossview High School from Clarksville, Ray said.
For the boys Matt Johnson qualified to compete as an individual.
The Manchester Times will post results from Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s rounds as they become available.
