Class of ’58 remembers deceased classmates at courthouse ceremony
Members of the Coffee County Central High School Class of 1958 recently met for its 55th year reunion and to pay respects to the 40 classmates who have passed away.
Forty-eight members of the class attended a banquet held at the Manchester-Coffee County Conference Center with music provided by Music Unlimited.
Earlier in the day, members met at courthouse for a memorial service for the deceased members.
At the banquet a candlelight vigil was held for the deceased.
Classmate Evans Baird opened the Coffee County Historical Society’s archives, and members read 1955-58 Manchester Times editions.
CHS Class of 1958 will now meet each September, rather than every five years.
