Sons, Cole Marcrom, age 18 of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2013 resulting from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was a student at NADC in Nashville. Cole was preceded in death by his Father, Michael Dean Sons; Nana, Sarah Faye Marcrom; and Grandmother, Wanda Mae Sons. He is survived by his mother Valerie Howe Drake and her husband Dee Drake of Manchester, Tenn; sisters, Jessica Erin Sons and Jessica Marie Drake; brother, Josh Drake; grandparents, David and Melanie Howe; aunt, Martha Marcrom; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Cole was a member of the Rutledge Falls Baptist Church and the “Helping Hands Ministry.” Camouflage was his favorite color since he was an outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and working on vehicles. He will be fondly remembered as a loving son and brother who had a big heart and always found the time to help people in need. Visitation with the family will be from 4-9 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2013. The funeral service will be conducted at noon on Friday, October 18, 2013 from the Chapel of Central Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Morris officiating. Trail, Gregory C., age 42 of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away on October 11, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Lary and Wanda Hill Trail; grandparents, the late John Clark Hill and Elizabeth Hill. He is survived by his wife, Terra L. Shelton Trail of Manchester, Tenn; daughter, Libby L. Trail of Manchester, Tenn; sister, Autumn Trail; brother, Steven Trail; and nephew Tyler Trail. A graveside service will be conducted at noon on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with the Reverends Mark Barron and Dwight Duckworth officiating. Goines, Frances Elvene, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Sunday, October 13th, 2013 at her residence at the age of 70. Mrs. Goines was born in Coffee County, Tennessee to the late Clyde Darnell and Jessie Crouch Anthony and was a former employee of Taylors Leather Wear. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Goines is preceded in death by one son, Anthony Goines; one brother, Lloyd Darnell; and her step-father, George Anthony. She is survived by her husband, Lyndell Goines of Tullahoma; one daughter, Tina Teal and her husband Mark of Tullahoma; two grandsons, Cody Jacobs and Hunter Teal; and sev-eral nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation for Mrs. Goines was held from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15th, 2013 at Kilgore Funeral Home. Mr. Charles David Jessing, age 78, of Manchester, passed away Friday, October 11, 2013 at United Regional Medical Center in Manchester. Visitation with the Jessing family will be from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, October 19, at St. Paul’s Methodist Church in Manchester. Mr. Jessing was born in Metropolis, IL, the son of the late Albert and Emma Goyert Jessing. He retired from AEDC as an Operating Engineer and also transferred vehicles for area car dealerships. He served his country in the Korean War. He attended St. Paul United Methodist Church. He is survived by one son, Charles Kent Jessing; one daughter, Charlisa Kaye Bush; one step-daughter, Edna Murray, all of Manchester; one brother, Joe Jessing of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Jean Bichon of Paducah, Ky; two grandchildren, Jonathan Andrew Bush and Christopher Taylor Bush and one step granddaughter, Magan Morris, all of Manchester. Memorial services for Mrs. Billie B. Shropshire, of Manchester, were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Reverend Albert Willis officiating. Visitation with the Shropshire family was Saturday, October 12 beginning at 12 noon until service time. Mrs. Shropshire passed away Thursday, October 10, 2013, at McArthur Manor in Manchester, Tennessee. Mrs. Shropshire was born May 7, 1926, in Greenville, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Ovid Franklin Brown and Mattie Sue Hill Brown. On June 15, 1949, in Columbus, Mississippi, Mrs. Shropshire married the love of her life, the late Robert A. Shropshire, Jr. Devoted to one another, they were married for 60 wonderful years until his passing on June 15, 2009. She was a homemaker and enjoyed doing volunteer work. She greatly cherished her family. In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by one grandson, Benjamin Scot Shropshire, and one sister, Elizabeth Summerfield Hornsby Prowell. Mrs. Shropshire is survived by two children; one daughter, Elizabeth Garren, and husband, Floyd, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; son, Robert A. “Bob” Shropshire, III, and wife, Jean, of Orofino, Idaho; and 10 grandchildren, Amy Garren, Gregory Garren, Sarah Garren, Will Shropshire, Rob Shropshire, Gareth Shropshire, Connor Shrop-shire, Kerry Shropshire, Steve Katz, and wife, Fran, Jeff Katz, and wife, Ali. Miller, Randall “Randy” M., age 57 of Pelham, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord after a brief battle with cancer on Friday, October 11, 2013 at the Vanderbilt Medical Center with his family by his side. Randy was employed by Nashville Ready Mix in Murfreesboro prior to his illness. As a young man, he served for 4 years in the United States Marine Corps and later served his community as Assistant Chief of the Pelham Fire Department for several years. Randy was of the Baptist Faith, enjoyed spending time with family and friends and golfing. Randy was born in Chatta-nooga, Tenn. on June 21, 1956 to his parents, Don Miller who survives and the late Shirley Roark Miller. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by fathers-in-law, Willis Parks and Larry Haynes. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Doris Parks Miller of Pelham, Tenn.; sons, Josh Miller of Murfreesboro, Tenn. and Jonathan Miller of Pelham; daughter, Melissa Miller of Otis Orchard, Washington; father, Don (Louise) Miller of Manchester, Tenn.; brother, Eddie (Mary) Miller of Estill Springs, Tenn.; sister, Stacy Anderson Miller of Memphis, Tenn.; step-brothers, Ted (Stacy) Lester and Brian (Kassi) Lester of Manchester; mother-in-law, Martha Haynes of Pelham, and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services for Mr. William Phillip Duncan, age 71 of Estill Springs were conducted at 10 a.m., Friday, October 11 at the Fredonia Cemetery. Mr. Duncan passed away Monday at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. Mr. Duncan was born in Manchester the son of the late William Paul Duncan and Myrtus Elrod Duncan Umbarger. He was a US Air Force Veteran and loved to read in his spare time. Mr. Duncan is survived by: One sister- Patricia Smith and her husband Ernest of Mobile, Ala. Mrs. Kathy Karron Armstrong, age 54, of Morrison, Tennessee passed from this life on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at the Medical Center of Manchester. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, John Evans and Pauline Melton Alford, two sons, Jason Armstrong, Richard Dale Alford, and a brother, Ricky Alford. She is survived by her husband, Lee Armstrong, three daughters, Andana Armstrong of Morrison, Brandi Armstrong of Manchester, April Crandell of Manchester, two sons, Winford Evans Alford of Manchester, James Armstrong of Manchester, three brothers, Dwight Alford, Paul and wife Benita Alford, Terry Alford all of Manchester, Tennessee, five grandchildren, Xavier Grant Armstrong, Zoey Michelle Spry, Brent Mitchell Wix, Victoria Lynn Wix, and Kendra Shyanne Wix. Mrs. Armstrong was of the Baptist Faith. She loved spending time and playing with her grandchildren. Kathy enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and sewing. She liked to cook and read. Roses were her favorite flower. Her family and their time together were very important to her. Funeral services for Mrs. Kathy K.
