EVERYTHING BUT SPORTS: Tuesday linkfest

milton-stanley-column bylineThis week’s linkfest is all over the board. So let’s get started.

We’ll begin with a couple of articles on media malfeasance: Gay Talese slams the New York Times for going easy on Obama, and Chris Reed writes that Media Ignore California’s Worst-in-Nation Poverty Rate.

Next, let’s move to the latest on the Tea Party: U.S. Rep. Steve Cohen of Memphis calls tea partiers “domestic enemies,” and Jay Sekulow asserts, “Obama’s Fingerprints All Over IRS Tea Party Scandal.” Along Tea Party lines, Clayton Cramer shows very succinctly Why This Country is Doomed.

And yes, I do remember that the linkfest is posted on the Religion page. That’s why we¬† have these links from Jeff Weddle: one on the Bible’s advice regarding stupid politicians, and the other reminding me why I’ve found a kindred spirit in Jeff.

Thanks for reading.
