Raiders, Lady Raiders drop Fayetteville City

The games couldn’t have been more different but the outcome was the same in both as the Central High School Raiders and Lady Raiders each picked up wins over Fayetteville City Monday night at Joe-Frank Patch Memorial.
The Lady Raiders dominated from the start, outscoring the visiting team in every quarter and winning by 30 points, 67-37.
Cameron Davis had a career high 21 points and two other Lady Raiders finished in double figures as Tyger Fenton finished with 14 and Lauren Brown netted ten.
In the boys game, Coffee County scored the first two points of the game and then proceeded to get out-played in every phase of the game for the first half, trailing 32-19 at the intermission.
The Raiders scored the first two points of the second half before Fayetteville went on a 9-0 run to expand its lead to 20 with just over five minutes to play in the third.
Head coach J.D. Douglas called a timeout and the Raiders responded by closing out the third quarter with a 22-6 run to make the score 47-43 Fayetteville after three quarters.
The Raiders outscored the vistiors 23-15 in the final frame to earn the 66-62 win.
Three Raiders finished the game in double figures with Addison Carter leading the way with 14, Anthony Jackson finished with 13 and Lucas Crismond added 11.
The Lady Raiders will be back in action at 5:30 p.m. Thursday night against White House Heritage as part of the Ezell-Harding Christmas Tournament. The boys will not play again until 4:30 p.m. Dec. 26 when they play Donaldson Christian in the Murfreesboro Central Magnet tournament.
