Coffee Middle girls fall to White Co. in CTC tournament

The Coffee Middle girls trailed White County 31-14 heading into the final quarter but didn’t pack it in for the night. In the final frame Julia Duncan led the Lady Raiders with 10 points as the team scored 23, almost pulling off a huge comeback. In the end White County was able to hold on for a 40-37 win.

The Lady Warriors dominated the early part of the game, leading 9-4 at the end of the first and 26-8 at the half.

Duncan led CCMS with 15 points followed by Abby Morgan with 11 and Sarah Pearson with eight.

The loss ended the Lady Raider season. The Coffee Middle boys will open CTC tournament play Wednesday (Jan. 29) at 6:30 p.m. against Harris Middle. The tournament is being played at Coffee Middle.
