Miller, Donald Gene, age 69 of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away on March 5, 2014 at the Alvin C. York Veterans Medical Center in Murfreesboro. Don, a United States Army veteran, was born in Goshen, Indiana to his parents, the late Edward Moses Miller and Catherine Blanch McDonald Miller. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Miller in 2009; sisters, Darlene Knight and Linda Struckle, and brother, James Miller. Don was an avid coin collector who enjoyed local flea markets where he met old and new friends. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend to many people. Don is survived by his sons, Donald M. Miller and Rodney E. Miller both of Manchester, Tenn.; daughters, Michelle Miller of Manchester, Tenn. and Amanda L. Sherlin of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; sisters, Elaine Reed of Elkhart, Ind. and Tressa Miller of Bristol, Ind.; brothers, Stanley Miller of Chicago, Ill. and William Miller of Elkhart, Ind.; three grandchildren, Jacob Sherlin, Jonah Sherlin and Everleigh Sherlin all of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; other relatives and friends, Vicky Ellsworth, Mona Jellyman, Amy Wright, Edward Knight and Michelle Mullican. Vis-itation was 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014. The funeral service followed at 2 p.m. on Saturday from the Chapel of Central Funeral Home with Brother Danny Anderson officiating. Funeral services for Mr. Barney Joe Morgan, Jr., age 69, of Manchester, were conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 7, 2014 at Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jeff Ingold officiating. Burial followed in Fredonia Cemetery. Visitation with the family was from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Morgan passed away at Medical Center of Manchester on Monday, March 3, 2014. Mr. Morgan was born in Jasper, Fla., the son of the late Barney Joe and Neta Waters Morgan, Sr.. He was a retired carpenter with George Elrod Construction. Barney enjoyed fishing in his spare time. In addition to his parents, Mr. Morgan was also preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Jean Morgan Elrod, Ava Jean Morgan, and Beverly Morgan. He is survived by a special friend, Linda Gaultney; two daughters, Tammy Morgan Searcy and JoAnn Morgan, both of Fla., one brother, Joe Walter Morgan of Fla.; four sisters, Sue Morgan of Fla., Carolyn Ingold of Penn., Annie Ruth and Virginia Crowell, both of Colo.; niece, Natalie (Stephen) Lynn; nephew, Mike Elrod; great nephew, Luke Lynn; aunt and uncle, Ponce and Ruth Morgan of Fla.; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and extended family, Jean, Gail, Diane, Pagie, and Sally. Mr. John Edward Henley, Jr. age 61 of La Vergne, Tennessee passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Christian Care Center in Smyrna, Tennessee. Mr. Henley was born in Tracy City, Tennessee in July of 1952 to his parents John E. Henley and Lodema F. Thompson Henley both have preceded him in death. He was a Cleveland Browns Fan and as well as NASCAR fan especially of driver Jimmy Johnson. Sur-vivors include his son John E. Henley, III of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; one granddaughter Jaida Lashay Henley; sisters Gail Anderson of La Vergne, Tenn. and Donna Forte of Mentor, OH; brother Terry Henley of Augusta, SC; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services were 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2014 in the chapel of Cumberland Funeral Home. Reverend Benny Benjamin officiated. Burial followed in City Cemetery, Tracy City, Tennessee. Charles R. Roper, 80, U.S. Air Force retired, of Tullahoma, Tenn., passed away on March 8, 2014 at home with family. Charles R. Roper was born on December 3, 1933 to Hollis T. and Corinne (Freeze) Roper in Hillsboro, Tenn.. Charles enlisted in the United States Air Force on October 23, 1951. He proudly served his country for over 20 years, retiring on December 1, 1971. He was united in marriage to Eleanor M. Elkins on February 2, 1953. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Eleanor M. Roper, Tenn.; sister, Billye Hurlburt of Louisiana; sister, Judy (Wayne) Watson of Manchester; brother, Bobby (Linda) Roper of Manches-ter; son, David (Diane) Roper of Clearwater, Fla.; daughter, Rena (Danny) Farrar of Manchester; son, Steve (Mary) Roper of Tullahoma, 9 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
