Coffee County Middle School softball finishes regular season perfect in CTC play

With two wins over cross-county and Central Tennessee Conference rival Tullahoma last week, the Coffee County Middle School Lady Raider softball team finished the regular season undefeated in league play.

With a first place finish in the regular season standings the Lady Raiders will receive a bye in the first round of the conference tournament this week in Winchester.

“This group of young ladies has done an outstanding job this year,” said CCMS head coach Lana Creek. “Winning the conference is a great accomplishment and something we can build on getting ready for the tournament.”

Lady Raider Lauren Tomberlin led the way offensively in an 8-5 win over the Lady Wildcats Thursday in Tullahoma with three hits. The Lady Raiders finished the game with 10 hits and worked Tullahoma pitching for seven walks…
