Manchester police seize video poker machines
Acting on a citizen complaint, the Manchester Police Department entered two businesses Thursday afternoon and seized poker machines.
According to Manchester Police Department Chief Mark Yother, police received complaints that the poker machines could be found in the Short Stop Market on Highway 53 and the C & B Go Mart on the Hillsboro Boulevard. Officers allegedly found five machines at the Short Stop Market and seven machines at the C & B Mart, the chief stated.
In addition to seizing the machines, officers also seized the money inside the machines.
No charges have been filed at this time but they are pending. The chief stated that police are continuing to investigate the possession of the machines at area businesses.
