BONNAROO DAY ONE: Rain, rainbows and a full moon

Rain showers gave way to a picturesque rainbow and, eventually, a full moon.
The first day of the 13th annual Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival at Great Stage Park produced a little bit of everything Thursday – then there was the music.

Nashville’s “Bully” opened the festival in the New Music On Tap Lounge and others followed with all three major tents cranking out music well into the night hours and the thousands of patrons exploring the “other stuff” Bonnaroo has to offer, such as Silent Disco and the Cinema Tent.
Friday, the two main stages will join in with music beginning at noon on the What Stage with Greensky Bluegrass. Kanye West will headline the music card Friday with a set from 10 p.m. to midnight. Music will be cranking out well into the night hours with Ice Cube set to hit Which Stage at midnight and Skrillex playing a 1:30-3:30 a.m. set.
“Kanye West is one of the great musical acts of our time,” said Ashley Capps with AC Entertainment, which, along with Superfly Presents, co-produces the annual festival.
