In with the new: Raider Academy makes new home in old building

Thursday marked the beginning of a new era for the Coffee County School System. In addition to the first full day of classes at the new Coffee County Middle School on Woodbury Highway, the system also opened a new school in the form of Red Raider Academy – a school exclusive to ninth graders.

The new ninth-grade school is being housed in the former middle school on McMinnville Highway. The building has undergone renovations to house the system’s freshman students …
