Mrs. Gilliam passed away Monday, May 28, 2012 at NHC Health Care in McMinnville surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 29, 1953 in Coffee County, Tennessee. Susie was a devoted employee of the Manchester Times for over 32 years where she was the advertising manager. She was a member of the Baptist faith. Susie will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Christopher Patrick Hodge, age 47, of Hartsville, Tennessee passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, Tennessee. Inurnment Services were held at 10 AM, Saturday, May 26, 2012 at the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Mr. Hodge, a native of Tullahoma, Tennessee was born January 19, 1965. He was the son of the late James and Linda Brewster Hodge. He was a construction worker. He is survived by his wife, Melinda Coleman Hodge of Hartsville, Tennessee; two sons, Derek Adam Hodge and his fiancé, Jennifer of Manchester, TN. and Justin Cody Hodge and his wife, Shayna of Manchester, TN.; five daughters, Adrianna Chelsea Parker and her husband, Ross of Manchester, TN., Courtney Taylor Hodge of Manchester, TN., Christa Faith Hodge, Michaela Jean-Marie Hodge and Gabriela June Hodge all of Hartsville, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Gavin Alexander Hodge and Kylee Brook Parker and three brothers: Gregory Edward Hodge of Nashville, TN., Michael Dewayne Hodge and his wife, Sonni of Manchester and Brian Keith Hodge and his wife, Kim of Manchester, TN. Marie Simon Gilmer, 79
GILMER, Marie Simon, age 79 of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away on May 26, 2012 at the Manchester Health Care Center. She was a Furniture Upholsterer and a former seamstress with PCA Apparel Industries, Inc. in Manchester. She was born in Stephenville, Newfoundland to her parents, the late Harold Simon and Libby Gabriel Simon. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Tony Gilmer who passed away in 2011. Marie enjoyed her upholstery business, raising flowers and gardening. She is survived by her daughter, Pauline (Peter) Doyle of Nova Scotia; two step-sons, Jimmy Gilmer of Brandon, Mississippi and Dr. Ronald Gilmer of Franklin, TN; eight grandchildren, Keith, Tammie, Laura, Derrick, Angela Michelle, Dianne, Emily and Dennis; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation with the family was on Monday, May 28, 2012 from 12:00 (Noon) until 2 :00 P.M. at Central Funeral Home. Funeral services for Timothy Lynn Bush, age 42, of Manchester, will be conducted at 1:00pm, Wednesday, May 30 at the Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Roger Comstock officiating and eulogy by Ron Mullican, who was Tim’s friend and caregiver. Burial will follow in the Fletcher Cemetery. Visitation with the Bush family was from 4pm until 9pm, Tuesday, May 29 at Manchester Funeral Home. Tim passed away Saturday evening at his home surrounded by his loving family. Tim was born in Woodbury, Tennessee the son of Truman and Gloria Fletcher Bush. He loved woodworking and was a member of the Morrison Church of Christ. During his life, Tim received several awards from the Special Olympics. Tim was preceded in death by his grandparents, Buford & Opal Bush and J.W. & Lucille Fletcher, and by cousins, Marla Sue Anderson, John Marlin Anderson, Danny and David Bush, Crystal Bush, Gerald Fletcher and Ashley Anderson, and by an Aunt, Vickie Bush. Mrs. Ridner passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at the Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro. Mrs. Ridner was born April 18, 1924 in Cannon County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Calvin and Mattie Frazier Bush. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ. She worked for many years as a nurse’s aide at both the Manchester Hospital and Harton Hospital. She also worked at the Canning Factory in Manchester. She enjoyed going to yard sales and flea markets. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Russell Ridner who passed away in 2007; one daughter, Barbara Ann Ridner; three brothers, Ivy, Virgil and Evans Bush; and one sister, Minnie Nunley. Mr. Fulks passed away Sunday, May 27, 2012 at Southern TN Medical Center in Winchester after a brief illness.
He was born October 15, 1943 in Beech Grove, TN the son of Mrs. Mary Evelyn Fulks and the late William Murphy Fulks. In earlier years, he participated in many car shows with his prized, restored 1956 Chevrolet which won first place at the Hunter’s Custom Auto Show in Nashville. For over 18 years, he had a booth at the Monteagle Flea Market where he sold various items. He enjoyed coin collecting, antique collection, yard sales, bowling and watching Nascar racing. In addition to his father, William Murphy Fulks, Jr., he is preceded in by his sister, Virginia Lee Duke. Survivors include his mother, Mary Evelyn Fulks of Manchester; three children, Tammy Denise Fulks of Woodbury, TN; Shanda Dawn Floyd of Winchester, TN; and Chuck Fulks of Beech Grove, TN; three grandsons, Justin Sullivan, Jonathan Sullivan and Brandon Fulks; and very special loving, devoted companion, Beverly Parker of Manchester and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
