Dale Wayne Kuehler, 48

Dale Wayne Kuehler, 48, of Groom died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012. Memorial services were 11 a.m. Monday, August 13, 2012 at Groom United Methodist Church with the Rev. Todd Dyess officiating. Cremation & Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon. Mr. Kuehler was born May 30, 1964, in Wichita, Kansas to George Kuehler and Evelyn Schaffer. He grew up in a busy home with seven siblings, all of whom were brothers. He graduated from Groom High School in 1983. Six years later, on Aug. 1, 1989, Dale Kuehler married his best friend, Tammy Luneack Kuehler. Their first daughter was born that year, followed by their second daughter in 1993. Dale and wife Tammy started their business, Innovative Pest Management, also known as IPM, in 1994 and worked side by side for 18 years. He was president of the Groom Youth Summer Program and a member of the Lions Club and Groom United Methodist Church. Dale never left a room without causing someone to smile first. However, getting him to leave a room at all was a challenge for wife Tammy. He was a social bug – pun intended – and enjoyed spending time chatting with his family, friends and clients. Dale loved being outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing. For all his many hobbies, however, his most treasured time were the day she spent with his family. Dale knew no stranger and made friends everywhere he went. His hearty jokes and big smile filled up a room each time he set foot in it. He was loved and adored by all who knew him, but he was especially loved by his family. Dale was a loving husband, business partner, and friend to wife Tammy as well as a dedicated and hard working father for his two daughters, Brittany Babcock and Haley Stanford. Dale Kuehler encouraged others by the way he lived his life. He was a simple man, one of humility and immense integrity. His life set a standard for those he encountered, a standard of excellence and a standard of morality. He believed that life was worth living, and living well, family was worth loving, and dedicating time to, and laughter was worth sharing, if it meant brightening someone’s day. He is preceded in death by father George Kuehler of Amarillo and father Leon “Bud” Schaffer of Pampa. Mr. Kuehler is survived by wife Tammy Kuehler of Groom; daughters Brittany Babcock and husband Cody Babcock of Groom and Haley Stanford and husband Clay Stanford of Fort Polk, Louisiana; his mother Evelyn Schaffer of Pampa; brothers James Kuehler and wife Sue Kuehler of Amarillo, Keith Kuehler of Austin, David Kuehler and wife Kenny Kuehler of Dallas, Bob Kuehler of Huffman, Donnie Schaffer of Dallas, Tony Schaffer and wife Shiela Schaffer of Austin, and Jerry Schaffer of Pampa; 11 nieces and nine nephews, two great-nieces and three great-nephews and one upcoming great-nephew, as well as many other beloved family members.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made in memory of Dale Wayne Kuehler to the Groom Youth Summer Program, PO Box 483, Groom, TX 79039 or the Groom Lions Club, PO Box 552, Groom, Texas 79039.
