One man is dead and another injured after a one-car crash on Interstate 24 Tuesday afternoon.

At approximately 12:20 p.m., Wendell Reed, 62, of Beech Grove, was driving a 2007 Nissan when he went off the roadway at mile marker 121, pulled back onto the roadway and crossed into the median. The car flipped and came to a rest in the median on its top, according to Tennessee Highway Patrolman Charles Graham.
Reed was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, William Dewolfe of Manchester was flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
