Manchester Funeral Home has announced the addition of Dennis Payne to its staff as a family service director.
Payne grew up in Manchester and graduated from Central High School but is new to the family service industry.
“I’m new to it,” said Payne, who takes care of pre-planning and funeral expenses at the funeral home. “[It’s] good to help people out. Manchester Funeral Home is a good place to be; it’s the oldest funeral home in Manchester.”
Through his job, Payne works with families to make decisions in time of grief.
“Essentially give families peace of mind,” he said. “I want to eliminate any problems or undue stress … secure the future, essentially. Make sure obligations are taken care of so there are no worries because most of the time it is the worst day of your life when that time comes. You don’t always think straight at that time.”
Payne takes pride in helping families in a time of need.
“It’s a pleasure to guide families through the process,” he said.
Manchester Funeral Home is located at 214 E. Main St. and can be reached by phone at 931-728-3505.
