Sarah Faye Marcrom, age 61, Morrison, TN resident and Warren County, TN native, was born February 10, 1951 and died September 30, 2012 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN following a brief illness. The daughter of the late Herbie Willard and Winnie Faye Comer Marcrom, she was an educator with the Manchester City School System and a member of Bascom United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Michael Dean Sons. She is survived by two sisters, Edith Irene (Michael Anthony) Lancaster of Bruceton, TN and Martha Jane Marcrom of Morrison, TN; two grandchildren, Jessica Erin Sons and Cole Marcrom Sons both of Manchester; niece, Gretchen Faye Lancaster of Pleasant View, TN; nephew, John Willard (Katherine) Lancaster of Camden, TN; and two great-nephews, Michael Keith Lancaster and Caden Anthony Lancaster. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 3, 2012 in High’s Chapel with Rev. Paul Tramel officiating. Burial will follow in Bascom Cemetery, Warren County, TN. Tyrin Rippy, 15, of Tullahoma, passed Sunday, September 23, 2012. He was the son of Dameon Rippy and late Jodi Middlebrook. He attended school in Manchester most of his life. He currently was a sophomore at Tullahoma High School. He was a member of Main Street Church of Christ in Manchester. He was preceded in death by his mom, Jodi Middlebrook, grandmother, Glenda West, great-grandparents, Chester and Mickie Williams and great grandmother, Clara West. He is survived by his father, Dameon Rippy (Jessica Jordan) both of Tullahoma, TN; siblings, Gwen Brewer, Gulf Breeze, Florida; Mycionna Middlebrook of Pulaski, TN; Hayley McKinney of Hillsboro, TN; Aaliyah and Kristopher Rippy, Jadyn and Makayla Jordan all of Tullahoma, TN; grandmother, Jacqualine Rippy of Tullahoma, TN; grandfather, Coley (Ginger) Rippy of Shelbyville, TN; grandfather, David West of Manchester, TN; aunts, Kathy(Stephen)Neal of Pulaski, TN and Donna Bates of Manchester, TN. Bettie Sells Morris, 93
Bettie Sells Morris, age 93, of Winchester, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, September 24, 2012, at Willows at Winchester. She was born May 7, 1919 in Sherwood; the daughter of the late John and Mollie (Summers) Sells. She was employed by the Franklin County Nursing Home and worked as a certified nursing assistant. Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Morris, Sr.; son, James Phillip Morris, daughter, Ruth Stewart, three brothers and one sister. Surviving are son, Elmer (Connie) Morris, Jr. of Manchester, TN, daughters, Molly (Corky) Garner of Winchester, TN and Lynn (Danny) Wiseman of Winchester, TN; grandchildren, Chris (Tina) Garner, Lori Beth Wiseman, Danny Wiseman, Jr., David Stewart, Bryan Stewart, John (Tonya) Morris, Jason Morris, and Jeff Morris; and great-grandchildren, Courtney Garner, Kayla Garner, Jane Anne Morris, and Jack Morris. A funeral service was held at 2:00 PM on Thursday in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Bro. Dan Jones officiating. Mrs. Morris’ grandsons served as pall bearers. Funeral services for Juanita Joyce Blanton, age 69 of the Blanton Chapel Community of Coffee County, were conducted at 11am, Saturday, September 29 at the Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Alan Adams and Bro. Carl Sims officiating. Burial followed in the New Reddens Cemetery. Visitation with the Blanton family was from 5pm until 9pm, Friday at Manchester Funeral Home. Mrs. Blanton passed away Thursday morning at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Blanton was born in Coffee County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Roy G. Blanton and Johnnie Naomi Banks Blanton. She was retired from Tennessee Apparel Company and was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ in Manchester. Funeral services for Mrs. Ella “Pearl” Newlin, age 85 of Manchester were conducted at 4 p.m, Tuesday, October 2 at the Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe Roberts, Vann Darden and James LaRue officiating. Burial followed in the Ragsdale Cemetery. Visitation with the Newlin family was from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m, Monday at Manchester Funeral Home. Mrs. Newlin passed away Sunday morning in Manchester surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Newlin was born in Valdosta, Georgia the daughter of the late Ira Vann and Nannie Decker Vann. She was a caregiver for many families in Coffee County and was a former employee of Tennessee Apparel. Mrs. Newlin was a member of the Bushy Branch House of Prayer. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Newlin who passed away in 1975, by 3 children, Tommie & Lonnie Newlin and Keith “T.R.” Newlin, and by 3 brothers and 2 sisters, Mary Cornelison, Willa Dean Adams, L.H. “Slim” Hendrix, Ira Vann, Jr and Buell Vann and by 2 grandchildren, G. Ellsworth Kenney and Kevin Newlin. FRAME, Robbie Gene, age 73 of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away on September 30, 2012. He retired from the Tennessee Department of Transportation and was a cabinet maker and carpet installer for over 18 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Lonnie Buchanan Frame and Willie Claytie Anderson Frame. Robbie was a member of the Hatties Chapel Baptist Church. He is survived by his sons, Flint Frame and his wife Carolyn of Manchester, Shang Frame and his wife Lorrie of Manchester; daughter, Renee Frame Nieciecki and her husband Tommy of Murfreesboro; sisters, Dean Jones (Lonnie) of Jasper, AL and Donna Smallwood (Mike) of Rome, GA; brothers, Billy Frame (Dottie), Jewell Frame (Debbie) and Dale Frame all of Manchester; nine grandchildren, Gina (Zach) Howard, Brittany West, Cody (Taylor) Frame, Shang Frame II, Dalton Frame, Micah Frame, Sean Nieciecki, Seth Nieciecki, and Logan Nieciecki; two great-grandchildren, Alayna Howard and Aliyah Howard;and a host of other relatives and friends. Harold L. Cody, 83
CODY, Harold L., age 83 of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away on September 28, 2012. Mr. Cody was a retired Electrical Engineer with Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) in Tullahoma. He served on the Manchester City School Board, the Manchester Water Commission and was a member of the Manchester Chamber of Commerce. He also coached numerous girls and womens softball teams through the years. He was born in Sneedville, Tennessee to his parents, the late James Cody and Edna Ramsey Cody. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Rose Mary Cody and brother, James Cody. Mr. Cody is survived by his daughters, Debbie A. McGowan and her husband Buck of Panama City, Florida and Colette M. Hobbs and her husband Joey of Manchester, TN; sisters, Frances Goodwin of Indiana, Joy Fuehrer of Georgia and Betty Campbell of Tennessee; four grandchildren, Harold “Chip” McGowan (Kathi) of Panama City, FL, Michele Head (Jeremy) of Carrollton, GA, Brent Hobbs of Manchester, TN and Brittany Hodge (Courtland) of Vilseck, Germany; the “McDonald’s Morning Coffee Club” and a host of friends. Amos, Leeroy “BoBo,” age 70 of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away on September 27, 2012. He was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator. He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn “Pug” Amos; and parents, Henry Amos and Otsie Hill Amos. He is survived by children, Melinda (Anthony) Elmer of Michigan, Juliet (Joe) Arthur of Manchester and Kathryn (James) Fishe of Manchester; two brothers; two sisters; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
