Coffee County Central’s Lady Raiders scored three goals in the first 15 minutes of the District

6-AAA semi-finals Tuesday night in Cookeville and staved off a late rally to beat the Cookeville Lady Cavaliers 4-2 and advance to the District 6-AAA championship game Thursday.

Cookeville rallied to pull to within 3-2, but the Lady Raiders added a late goal to finish off Cookeville 4-2 and eliminate the Lady Cavs from the tournament. Coffee County will take on Warren County at 6 p.m. Thursday in McMinnville.Warren County swept the season series from Coffee County.

Win or lose against Warren County, the Lady Raiders will compete in the Region 3-AAA tournament.
