Duo peddles through Manchester on charity ride

Formerly of Manchester, Scott Golden, pictured, and his Carmel, Ind. neighbor Jim Serger rode through Manchester Monday on their 1,033-mile trip to Orland, Fla. to raise money for the International Reading Association, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation and The Prospect House. Golden, who graduated from Coffee County Central High School in 1988, alternates with Serger riding and driving the support vehicle. The two travel on average about 130 miles each day.
