Harold C. Sartain, 77
Mr. Harold C. Sartain age 77 of the Valley Home community near Pelham, Tennessee went to be with the Lord Sunday, October 21, 2012. He was born in Burroughs Cove near Pelham on
May 9, 1935, a son of the late Joe Sartain and Ruby Bonner Sartain. Mr. Sartain was a retired journeyman carpenter, a member of Tri-State Carpenters Local #74 and he attended Ministry Baptist Church in Pelham. Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Barbara, two children, Mark (Sheena) Sartain and Tracy (Michael) Bunch; brother, Marshall (Judy) Sartain; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and beloved friends. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, in the chapel of Cumberland Funeral Home. Pastor Barry Rhoads will officiate at the service. Interment will be in the Sartain Cemetery in Burroughs Cove behind the Bethel Church. The family will receive friends Wednesday 5-9 P.M. At the funeral home. Armand Chisholm Holmes, 90
Funeral services for Mr. Armand Chisholm Holmes, age 90, of Manchester will be conducted Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 2:45 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Masonic Services will be held at 2:30 PM just prior to the funeral services. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 PM until service time. Mr. Holmes, born August 25, 1922, went to his heavenly home on Sunday, October 21, 2012. He was the son of the late Sandy Dallas and Barbara Lewis Holmes. Mr. Holmes served in WW II in the Army with the 743 Railroad Operating Battalion in Europe, from 1944 to 1946. After leaving the Army, he worked with the L & N Railroad for nine and one-half years. He then began working for TVA in New Johnsonville, Tennessee. After 25 years, he retired and moved back to his country home in Shady Grove, Tennessee. Mr. Holmes was a member of the Ezell 381 Masonic Lodge in Morrison, Tennessee. He was a 50 year Scottish Right 32 Degree Mason, a member
of the Shriners, the UFW, the American Legion and the Forty and Eight. He was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans. In addition to his parents, Mr. Holmes is preceded in death by one brother, Stephen Holmes and one sister Parmys (Pat) Briedenbach. Mr. Holmes is survived by his beloved wife of 71 ½ years, Mrs. Inez Harrell Holmes; children, Sherry Costanza-Steady and her husband, Lance, Aaron Craig Holmes and his wife, Carol, Linda Holmes Radford and her husband, Dennis and Wm. Dallas Holmes II; grandchildren, Armanda Inez Costanza and her partner, Merissa, Robert Costanza and his wife, Kelly, Michael Costanza and his wife, Laina, Sherry Costanza Goad and her husband, Bobby, Sandy Darrell Holmes and his wife, Shea, Armand Craig Holmes, Chad Holmes, Wendy Starr Holmes and Wm Dallas Holmes III; Great Grandchildren, Neena Cree Costanza, Maya Costanza, Auggie Costanza, Bella Costanza, Bryan Goad, Jenna and Jamie Goad, Rose Costanza, Alexander Costanza, Krystal Hemby and Carlie Holmes; great great grandsons Tanner and Calen Holmes and numerous nieces and nephews. HILMOE, Larry James, age 71 of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away on October 20, 2012. He was retired from Human Resources with the Batesville Casket Company in Manchester, a Professional Horse Breeder and Past President of the Tennessee Horse Council. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to his parents, the late Delos Edward Hilmoe and Lucille Eleanor Finley Hilmoe and also preceded in death by his son, Eric Brian Hilmoe. Mr. Hilmoe loved his family, friends and enjoyed horses and antique cars. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Candace Keyes Hilmoe of Manchester; son, Chris Hilmoe of Muskeso, Wisconsin; sister, Donna Baumgartner; brother, Ross Hilmoe, four grandchildren, Kate Pitsenberger, Andrew Pitsenberger, Charlie Pitsenberger and Jonas Baugh; and a host of friends. Visitation was on Monday evening, October 22, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Central Funeral Home. Helen Randolph Maynard Walker, 82
Mrs. Helen Randolph Maynard Walker 82 of Wartrace died Tuesday, October 16th, at Saint Thomas Hospital after an extended illness. She was born September 18, 1930 in Old Hickory; former Co-Owner of M & M Ranch of Huntland; former Substitute Teacher for the Franklin County School System; a member of Wartrace Baptist Church and the Fairfield Red Hatters Club. She was the daughter of the late Malcolm M. and Ora Love Phillips Randolph. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Francis Whitson Maynard and her second husband, John Audrey Walker. She is survived by two daughters, Frances Maynard (Thomas Wayne) Rutledge of Bell Buckle, Donna Maynard (Thomas Dale) Robinson of Murfreesboro; three Grandchildren, Jennifer Mariea (Michael) Hutzel of Nolensville, Thomas Justin Robinson of Murfreesboro, Wesley Jordan Rutledge of Bell Buckle and Great Granddaughter, Audrey Grace Hutzel. Funeral Services were held 10:00 A.M. Friday, October 19th, at Hillcrest Funeral Home Rev. Jimmy Gray and Rev. Curt Wagoner officiating. Burial followed at Franklin Memorial Gardens. Funeral services for Mrs. Gertrude Page Hoover, age 86 of Manchester were conducted Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Rev. Neal Glass officiating. Burial followed at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family was Saturday, October 20, 2012 from 11:00 AM till service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Hoover passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Harton Regional Medical Center in Tullahoma. Mrs. Hoover was born August 25, 1926 in Centertown, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Vernon and Etta Jones Page. In the 1940’s Mrs. Hoover worked as a phone operator. On August 6, 1950, she married her husband of 55 years, Herschel White Hoover, who passed away in 2005. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Manchester and the Johnson Hall Sunday School Class. She was a longtime member of Gideons International. Mrs. Hoover enjoyed reading, sewing and working at the family store, Hoover’s Jewelry in Manchester. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death two brothers, Everett and Alex Page and four sisters, Margaret Lance, Nerene Thompson, Vada Bost and Alma Holder. Mrs. Hoover is survived by one son, Marlin Hoover and his wife, Kim of Tullahoma; two daughters, Sarah Potuk and her husband Tommy of Manchester and Lisa Jennings and her husband, Rick of Burlington, NC; one brother, Arvle Page and his wife Mozelle of McMinnville; one sister, Myrna Pearsall of McMinnville; four grandchildren, Amanda Whedbee and her husband, Mark, Kelli Barnett and her husband, Zach, Marina Jennings and Ryan Jennings and two great grandchildren, Evan Jones and Parker Whedbee. Funeral services for Johnny Floyd Pugh, age 59, of Decherd were conducted Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Brother Leon Williams officiating. Burial followed at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation was held Monday from 5:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Pugh passed away Saturday, October 20, 2012. Johnny was born January 1, 1953 in Winchester, TN the son of the late John Earl Pugh and Barbara Jean Finney Pugh Rendina. He attended Coffee County Central High School where he graduated in 1971 and then attended Middle Tennessee State University. Johnny was employed as a truck driver for several years for Gilley Farms. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and several other hobbies. He was a member of Elk River Baptist Church in Decherd, TN. Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Kathy Pugh Swanson and husband, Eric of Manchester ; half sister, Corrine Randolph Bauer of Mentor, Ohio; step-mother, Bernice Bruce Pugh of Manchester; two nephews, Dr. Leif Swanson and wife, Charla of Manchester; Patrick John Swanson of Knoxville, TN; and a niece, Erica Swanson Fulks and husband, Donnie of Tullahoma; and former spouse, Kathy Pugh of Manchester, TN.
