Dennis Gentry Young, 68
Funeral services for Mr. Dennis Gentry Young, age 68, of Antioch, TN will be held Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Gnat Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family was Tuesday, November 13, 2012 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Young passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. Mr. Young was born May 30, 1944 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of the late John Wiley and Lula Mae Tolbert Young. He moved to Tennessee as a young boy and lived in the Murfreesboro area for many years. He relocated to Missouri for a few years then returned to Murfreesboro and then to Antioch. He retired from Industco where he was a Die Cutter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing with his remote control trucks and spending time with his dogs, Sneakers and Spartus and cats, Demon and Midnight. In addition to his parents, Mr. Young was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary and Bunny McCullough and one sister, Leatrice Young. Mr. Young is survived by two sons, Chad Young of Rockvale, TN. and Russell Young and his wife, Nanette of Lebanon, TN; one daughter Rhonda Richmond of Antioch, TN; one brother Roger Dale McCullough of Murfreesboro; seven grandchildren, Duncan and Ky’Anne Richmond , Cody, Joshua and Hannah Young and Dirk Busho; one great grandchild, Zachariah Richmond and the “Love of His Life”, Joanne Fletcher Young of Antioch. Grady F. McMillen, 86
McMILLEN, Grady F., age 86, passed away on November 5, 2012 at his home in Manchester, Tennessee. He was a retired Construction Welder Pipe Fitter. Mr. McMillen was born in Nashville, TN to his parents, the late Grady Frank McMillen and Laura Mai Peyton McMillen. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Jack McMillen and Thomas McMillen. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Virginia Davis McMillen of Manchester, TN; son, Grady S. McMillen of Dickson, TN; daughters, Sheila A. McMillen Pennington of Manchester, TN and Kerry R. Duke and her husband Eddie of Manchester, TN; five grandchildren, Grady McMillen, Heather Pennington, Dru Talley, Peyton Talley and Hannah Pennington; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation was on Thursday, November 8, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Central Funeral Home with the Funeral Service following at 1:00 p.m. Burial was at the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Wayne Williams Wallace, age 78, of Hixson, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, November 7 at his home. Wayne was born on October 17, 1934 in Harriman, Tennessee. Survived by his wife of 50 years: Martha Walker Wallace, daughters, stepsons, grandchildren, great granddaughter and siblings. Wayne lived in Harriman, attending school until he joined the U.S. Navy in 1951. During his time in the Navy, he was involved in both the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. He served 20 years in the Navy, retiring in 1971. In 1971, Wayne and family returned to Tennessee, where he accepted a job with LSE in Tullahoma. In 1984, Wayne accepted a position with Chattanooga Corporation and relocated his family to Hixson, Tennessee. He retired in 1994 at age 59. The family received friends on Monday, November 12, 2012, from 12:00-2:00 P.M. EST at Kyker Funeral Homes, Harriman, with the funeral service immediately following. www.kykerfuneralhomes.com. SHERRILL, Millard Jim, age 72 of Hillsboro, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the Stone Crest Medical Center in Smyrna, TN. He was born in Hillsboro, TN to his parents, the late Walter Mac Sherrill and Allie Pearl Cunningham Sherrill and was preceded in death also by his sister, Josephine Lemings. Mr. Sherrill is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Brewer Sherrill of Hillsboro, TN; children, Martha Ann (David) Waldron of Pensacola, FL, Jimmy Sherrill and Rhonda (Mark) Ponos both of Wilmington, NC, Ginger Jackson of Hillsboro, TN and James (Jenny) Sherrill of Hillsboro, TN; nine grandchildren, Barbara (Luke) Jones, Jessica (Johnathan) Burton, Brandon Sherrill, Kaylan Sherrill, Dalton Jackson, Amalia Ponos, Alexia Ponos, Andrea Sherrill and Tyler Sherrill; four great-grandchildren, Lily Jones, Abbie Jones, Urijah Burton and “soon to arrive” Liam Burton; sister, Inez Jones; brothers, George Sherrill, Fred Sherrill and Cecil Sherrill; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation was on Monday, November 12, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Service was conducted on Tuesday morning, November 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Central Funeral Home with Ronnie Brewer officiating.
