Steele, Juanita Lucille Baker, of Decherd, passed this life on Sunday, November 18th, 2012 at Southern Tennessee Medical Center in Winchester at the age of 86. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 21 in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Riddle officiating. Burial followed at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Paul Frederick Jolly, age 68, of Winchester passed away Monday, November 19, 2012 at his residence. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, December 2, 2012 at 2:30 PM at the Open Door Baptist Church, 2402 Hwy 64 E, Shelbyville, TN 37160. Paul was born October 13, 1944 in Tullahoma, Tennessee the son of the late Edwin Farmer Jolly and Billie Spakes Jolly Moody. He was a retired truck driver and a member of the Christian Motorcyclist Association. He was a United States Army veteran having served during Vietnam Conflict and was a lifetime member of the VFW. Paul is survived by his longtime special friend, Brenda Wells of Estill Springs; daughter, Janet Stephens of Shelbyville; son, Johnathan Jolly of Manchester; three grandchildren, Sasha, Zack and Joe all of Shelbyville; brother, Pete Jolly of Winchester; sister, Mary (Randy) Ray of Bell Buckle; niece, Luci Ray and nephew, Brent Ray. Francis “Frank” Clyde Murphy, 72
Memorial Services for Mr. Francis “Frank” Clyde Murphy, age 72 of Beechgrove, Tennessee will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Gethsemane House of Prayer, 6369 Murfreesboro Highway, Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Mr. Murphy passed away Friday, November 23, 2012 in Beechgrove, Tennessee.
Mr. Murphy was born June 11, 1940 in Middletown, Connecticut, the son of the late Francis M. and Olive June Kempton Murphy. He owned and operated a house painting company in Franklin, Tennessee for over 30 years. Mr. Murphy loved collecting antiques. Mr. Murphy is survived by two step daughters, Michelle Harper of Beechgrove and Brittany Keyt of Woodbury, Tennessee; one step son, Jason Keyt of Beechgrove; special friend and caregiver, Alvin McGill and his wife Georgia of Beechgrove and many other loving friends. Dillon, Sylvia Elizabeth, age 82, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at her home in Manchester, Tennessee. She was a homemaker; a former Coffee County Home Demonstration Agent and a member of the Blanton’s Chapel United Methodist Church. She was born in Cleveland, Tennessee to her parents the late, Richard Austin Humberd and Exie Lee Hughes Humberd and was also preceded in death by her sister, Willie Mae Humberd and brother, Quinton Humberd. Mrs. Dillon is survived by her husband, J.T. Dillon, Jr. of Manchester, TN; son, Richard Dillon and his wife Treva of Manchester, TN; daughter, Ruth Ann Dillon of Manchester, TN; brother, Raymond Humberd; five grandchildren, Joshua Dillon, John Adams, Wendy Gault and Michael Humphries all of Manchester, TN and Mary Beth Jenkins of Loudon, TN; four great-grandchildren, Adleigh Elizabeth Jenkins, Hayden Jenkins, Hunter Gault and Dane Gault; and a host of friends.
Visitation was on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted on Wednesday afternoon, November 28, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Central Funeral Home with Reverend Louis Johnson and Reverend Sally Harvey officiating. Robert Duane Hensley, age 59, passed away at Alive Hospice in Nashville on November 26, 2012 after an extended battle with Huntington’s Disease. A native of Manchester, Hensley was a graduate of Manchester Central High School (’71) and Middle Tennessee State University. Hensley was baptized at Temple Baptist Church in Manchester and later attended World Outreach Church of Murfreesboro. A U.S. Navy veteran, he served on the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy. He enjoyed an early career as a professional photographer for Olan Mills and later served over 17 years at Ingram Books in Lavergne. He was welcomed to heaven by his Savior Jesus Christ along with his parents, Robert C. Hensley and Alice Juanita Perigo Hensley, grandparents Lewis and Nora (Swindell) Hensley, and Ray and Lillian (Byard) Stearns. He is survived by his children Robert Lee Hensley and Sarah Elizabeth Hensley and their mother Beth Dickerson Hensley Rich, all of Murfreesboro. He also leaves behind his little sister Tracy Hensley Bumpus and family of Maryville, Tennessee, uncle Harold Hensley, aunt Betty Hensley Barrow, and two cousins. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, family members request family and friends make a donation in his name to Alive Hospice in Nashville or to the Huntington’s Disease Socety of America (hsda.org) in hope of finding a cure soon. Billie Elkins Tarter passed away November 1st. She is survived by two living siblings, brother Dr. Bobby Sam Elkins from Nashville, and sister Jo Busby Elkins of Manchester. She is also survived by three children, Donald Wayne Tarter from Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Steve Elkins Tarter, Savannah, Ga., and Joy Ellan Daugherty, Birmingham, Alabama. Billie had six grandchildren. There will be a memorial service at Red Hill Church of Christ in Manchester at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1.
Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Kathleen Sartain, age 55 of Manchester were conducted at 2pm, Friday, November 23 at the Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ralph Hart officiating. Visitation with the Sartain family was from 10am, until service time Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Sartain passed away Wednesday, November 21 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. Mrs. Sartain was born in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of the late Ellie Hue Wise and Anna Sanders Wise. She was a homemaker and worked diligently raising her children and helping with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Sonny Wise. G.N. Messick, age 84, of Murfreesboro, died Tuesday, November 20, 2012. He was a native of Beech Grove, TN and the son of the late Gilbert Newton and Nora Earls Messick. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Carl, Horace, and John Rye Messick, sisters, Novella Messick, Ruth Wiser, Lucille Walkup, and Virgie Bush.
Funeral service was noon Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Rev. Charles McKnight will officiate. Burial followed in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Helen Armstrong Messick, sons, Michael (Shirley) Messick of Murfreesboro, Dale (Alice) Messick of Summerville, SC, brother, Willie Benton Messick of Manchester, grandchildren, Shawn Messick, Ken (Candace) Messick, Jennifer Messick, great grandchildren, Collier Messick, Dylan Chapman, Amberlyn Messick, Gabriella Messick, and special niece, Elizabeth (Lewis) Wright. Mr. Messick was a member of Mt. Herman Baptist Church, a US Army veteran who served in Korea, and a retired Service Station Manager until his retirement. Mr. Roy Thomas Gilbert, age 71, of Manchester, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2012. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Manchester Funeral Home Chapel at 7p.m.with Brother Bennie Benjamin officiating. Visitation with the family will begin at 5p.m. until time of service. Mr. Gilbert was born on February 22, 1941, to the late Reed Gilbert and Cleo Carroll Gilbert in Manchester, TN, and was in the United States Air Force in the Korean War. He was employed as a truck driver. Mr. Gilbert is survived by his son John Thomas Gilbert of Manchester, sister, Frances Armitage and brother Reed Gilbert, both of Tullahoma. In addition to his parents, Mr. Gilbert is preceded in death by one brother, Robert Gilbert. Eberhardt Wolf, 84
WOLF, Joanne V. Eberhardt, age 84 of Tullahoma, Tennessee, passed away on November 19, 2012 at the Harton Regional Medical Center. She was born in Sterling, Illinois to her parents, the late Joseph Leroy Eberhardt and Nellie Tubbs Eberhardt and was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Wolf and sister, Helenmae Manon. Mrs. Wolf was a retired Real Estate Escrow Officer; Site Director for “Meals On Wheels” in Coffee County, TN for several years; member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Tullahoma and was a piano accompanist at various local churches. She is survived by her children, Wendy Reeve (Bill) of Bristol, RI, Kathy Halkin (Hubert) of Idyllwild, CA, Jacque Wood (Bill) of Fayetteville, NC, Scott Wolf (Audrey) of Tullahoma, TN and Brian Wolf (Barbara) of Tullahoma, TN; nephew, Myk Manon (Lupe) of Kissimmee, FL; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; grand-nephew, Jacob Manon; and a host of friends. Blueford Arthur “B.A.” Niles, 81
Funeral services for Mr. Blueford Arthur “B. A.” Niles, age 81 of Manchester, were conducted Monday, November 26, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church of Manchester with Rev. Neal Glass officiating. Burial followed at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family was Sunday, November 25, 2012 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Mr. Niles passed away Friday, November 23, 2012 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. Mr. Niles was born October 30, 1931 in Wise County, Virginia, the son of the late Blueford Arthur and Oma Franks Evans. Mr. Niles was adopted from the Holston Orphanage in Greenville, TN and raised by the late Earl Lee and Dora Lucille Niles. He was a U S Air Force veteran serving from 1951 – 1954 as a Buck Sgt. Airman 1st Class. Mr. Niles retired from AEDC as a Craft Supervisor working at the PWT for 36 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Manchester. In addition to his biological and adoptive parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Morris Niles who passed away March 24, 2012; one son, Eric Niles; one brother, Cecil Evans; two sisters, Gaynell Royston and Betty Vaughan and one step grandchild, Perry Flowers. Mr. Niles is survived by one son, Alan Niles of Manchester; one daughter, Cindy Belew of Cleveland, TN; four grandchildren, Eric Niles Jr, Annie Niles, Rachel Belew and Christopher Belew; one step grandchild, Misty Lucas and one sister Loretta Anderson of Piedmont, SC.
