Tuesday was a strong night for Coffee County Central High School basketball with both the boys’ and girls’ teams gaining decisive victories at Franklin County. The Lady Raiders won 44-24, and the CHS men came out on top 51-36.
The Ladies jumped out to an early lead with 13 points the first quarter and led throughout the game. Ginny Clayborne stood out in the offensive assault with 20 points, followed by 9 from Alaina Lusk. Katie Reid added 7, along with several steals and assists.
The Red Raider men also jumped out to an early, game-long lead with a 14-6 performance in the first period. Lance Crismond was leading scorer for CHS with 28 points.
