Graveside services for Mr. James Carroll Jarrell, 90, of Manchester were held, Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 1:30 PM at Shady Grove Cemetery with Rev. Bob Case officiating. Visitation was Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 11 AM – 1 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Mr. Jarrell passed away Sunday, December 23, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Jarrell, a native of Shady Grove, TN., was born May 20, 1922, the son of the late Robert Thomas and Nora Worley Jarrell. He served in the U. S. Coast Guard from 1942 to 1945 as a Seaman First Class. He retired from AEDC where he worked as a photographer. Mr. Jarrell was a member of Forest Mill United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening and hunting with his Beagles. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jarrell was preceded in death by four brothers, W. C., Phillip Wayne, Willard and Robert T. Jarrell; and two sisters, Lila St. John and Catherine Kirby. Mr. Jarrell is survived by one son, Robert Marvin Jarrell of Nashville; one sister, Mozelle Spain of Nashville; one sister-in-law, Mary Jarrell of Morrison; special friend, Dorothy Bramblett of Manchester and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. ALLISON, Roy William, age 87 of Manchester, Tennessee, entered his Eternal Home on December 28, 2012. Mr. Allison was very proud of being a farmer and loved his John Deere tractors. He was a row crop farmer, dairy farmer and raised chickens for Tyson, Inc. Farming was his full-time job, however, he also worked at Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) with A.R.O., sold livestock feed for Martha White Feeds and drove a school bus for the Coffee County School System until he retired at age 71. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Cyrus David Allison and Hattie Reed Allison; sisters, Ruby Allison and Hazel Allison Haggard; brother, Harley B. Allison and great-granddaughter, Esther Isabella “Bella” Allison. Mr. Allison was a lifetime member of the Asbury United Methodist Church where he was the song leader for over 50 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Emma Imogene Wells Allison of Manchester, TN; son, William Herschel Allison of Manchester, TN; daughters, Cleta Allison Jenkins and her husband Roger of Decatur, AL and Jelinda Allison Rose and her husband Wayne of Manchester, TN; sister, Thelma Jean Allison Chisam of Hillsboro, TN; five grandchildren, William Jeremy Allison (Michelle), Angela Jenkins Dorris (Jason), Joshua Allison, Amanda Jenkins and Julie Allison; four great-grandchildren, McKenzie Allison, Olivia Dorris, Audrenia Dorris and Ashton Allison who is “on the way”; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth “Buster” Nowlin, age 81, of Manchester were conducted Monday, December 24, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Rev. Beth Ezell officiating. Interment followed at New Reddens Cemetery. Visitation was held Sunday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Nowlin passed away Saturday, December 22, 2012 at his residence. He was born March 3, 1931 in Bedford County, Tennessee one of ten children to the late John Lanier Nowlin and Goldie Martin Nowlin. Mr. Nowlin was a retired road construction worker. Throughout his life he also enjoyed farming and fishing. He married Naomi Daniel on July 30, 1953 and the two began their family. He is the father of three fantastic children and six wonderful grandchildren and will be dearly missed by all. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by siblings, John Nowlin, Jr., Sam Nowlin, Ed Nowlin and Frankie Nowlin. Mr. Nowlin is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Naomi Daniel Nowlin of Manchester; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Dewaine Nowlin and wife, Patti; son and daughter-in-law, Horace Lanier Nowlin and wife, Cindy; and daughter and son-in-law, Nancy Naomi Nowlin Johnson and husband, Neal; six grandchildren, Krista Hale and husband, Matt; Kelsey Nowlin; Tyler Nowlin; Cody Nowlin; Haley Johnson and Sara Johnson. Mr. Cyree, a native of Flat Creek, TN. was born on September 5, 1920, the son of the late James Logan and Mary Lora Elizabeth Pierce Cyree. He was a U. S. Army veteran serving during WW II in the Military Police. He retired from Carrier. He was a member of Summitville United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, reading and playing with his family pets. Frank Wayne Arnold was born February 28, 1940 in Manchester, TN. Frank departed this life on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family at his side. Mr. Angel was a retired high school teacher; a World War II United States Navy Veteran; a 32nd Degree Mason; member of the Nashville Masonic Lodge #375; member of the Hillsboro Masonic Lodge #382; served as past Past Grand Master of the South East Pastmasters; a Al Menah Shriner; served as the first President of the Refrigeration Service & Electrical Service Organization (R.S.E.S. ); a Charter member of the Donelson Heights United Methodist Church;and a member of the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Fannie Martin Angel who passed away in 2007; parents, Roy D. Angel and Carrie A. Phelps Angel; and sister, Jennie Angel Lea. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer G. Frank White age 67, of Manchester, passed away December 26, 2012 at Vanderbilt Medical Center following a short illness. Mr. White worked for several years in a steel fabrication factory until his health began to fail. He was a faithful and devoted member of the Spring Street Baptist Church in Decherd. He enjoyed listening to Gospel music especially the Primitive Quartet. In his past time his love of nature, lead him to fishing and traveling the country side with his family. Mr. White is preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert and Lorene Clinton White; son, Jeffrey White; brothers, Bruce and James White.
