The drive is part of the annual Teens for Jeans clothes drive.
Teens for Jeans is a national community service project that collects jeans (or any type of pants/shorts etc.) to benefit the less fortunate.
This community service project holds a competition that includes elementary, middle, and high schools across the nation. Skills USA, a club that intends to advance the vocational attributes of its members, will have drop boxes in various locations in town, including the Rec. Center and Fantasy Radio.
Last year, when Skills USA chose to participate in this event, the club collected over 7,000 pairs of jeans. Skills USA was awarded $5,000 from www.dosomething.org and Aeropostale.
Skills USA is asking anyone who would like to donate his or her gently used jeans to do so before the deadline on Feb. 10. All donations are very much appreciated.
