CHS drops two in Cookeville

The Coffee County Central High school hoopsters traveled to Cookeville for two district tilts Friday night. In the girls game the Lady Raiders fell to the Lady Cavs 45-41. In the boys’ contest Cookeville won 58-39

improves its district-leading record to 21-5 overall and 5-1 in the district.

The loss at Cookeville breaks a four-game winning streak for the Lady Raiders, who now fall to 13-12 overall and 5-2 in District 6-AAA. Cookeville (14-9 overall) remains on top of the district with five wins and no losses.

Scoring for the Lady Raiders were Alaina Lusk (15), Ginny Clayborne (12), Katie Reid (10), Ta’Neesa Buchanan (2), Michaela Gregory (2). Leading scorers for Cookeville were Hannah Goolsby (17) and Toiya Gwynn (12).
