The Coffee County Central High School Lady Raiders will play for the District 6-AAA championship Monday night at 7:30 p.m. against the first-seed Cookeville Lady Cavs.
The Lady Raiders earned a spot in the championship game, at Sparta, by defeating White County 48-39 Saturday. Cookeville earned a berth in the finals earlier in the day by demolishing fourth-seed Cumberland County 83-57.
Cookeville won both previous matchups against the Lady Raiders: 50-40 at Joe Frank Patch Memorial Gym and 45-41 at Cookeville.
Whatever the outcome of Monday’s game, both teams are guaranteed spots in the Region 3-AAA tournament, set to begin Friday. The Lady Raiders will play that game at home.
