Lady Raiders are District 6-AAA runners-up
If they were counting on the third time being a charm, the Central High School Lady Raiders were disappointed Monday as they lost the District 6-AAA championship game to Cookeville 49-38.
It was the third time this season the Coffee County girls lost to the Lady Cavs. Cookeville (19-10) had won both matchups against the Lady Raiders during the regular season.
Scoring for Coffee County were Katie Reid and Clayborne, each with 12, and

Lusk and Jones, each with 7. Clayborne led in total rebounds with six and added a blocked shot.
For Cookeville, District 6-AAA player of the year Hannah Goolsby led in scoring with 21 and was followed by Karagan Turner (14) and Sydney Marek (8).
The Lady Raiders will play McMinn Central in the region quarterfinals at 7 p.m. Friday at the Joe Frank Patch Memorial Gym. If they win that game, they will advance to the region semifinals at Cleveland High School on Monday, Feb. 25, at 7 p.m. Eastern time.
