Debbie “Moe” Breeden, late wife of former Coffee County Central High School softball coach Jeff Breeden, will be honored Thursday in an eight-school fundraiser at the Coffee County Lady Raiders softball complex.
Admission to the preseason event is $5 or a donation. All proceeds from the event will go toward a softball scholarship in memory of Debbie Breeden for a player at MTSU, where Jeff Breeden now serves as head coach. Debbie Breeden died in January after battling cancer.
The event runs from 5 to 9 p.m. Each game will be four-innings only, regardless of score. Pairings are as follows:
5 p.m.: Tullahoma vs. Moore County;
6 p.m: Shelbyville vs. Warren County;
7 p.m.: Lincoln County vs. Oakland;
8 p.m. Coffee County vs. Riverdale.
The CHS Lady Raiders begin their regular season Tuesday, March 12, at home against Tullahoma. First pitch is set for 7 p.m.
