Raiders drop baseball home opener to Tullahoma
The game was delayed two days for rain, but the hurting came just the same as the nationally ranked Tullahoma High School Wildcats defeated the Coffee County Red Raiders 15-0 at their home opener at Powers Field.
Coffee County trailed from the first inning, when Tullahoma scored 8 runs and then shut down the Red Raiders in three at-bats.

Coffee County starting pitcher Kyle Douglas got the loss and was relieved in the first inning by Justen Cooper, who went the remainder of the game. Justus Sheffield, who pitched a two-hitter, got the win for Tullahoma.
Although Coffee County is considered a strong contender in District 6-AAA, Tullahoma is ranked among the top 25 teams in the nation in two national polls.
The Red Raiders are now 0-2 on the season in two non-district contests. On Thursday the Red Raiders travel to Smyrna, where they will take on Hendersonville in another non-district tilt.
