Red Raiders strike out, 0-6 in first week
The Central High School Red Raiders baseball squad went 0-4 over the weekend in the Grand Slam Invitational in Murfreesboro to extend its winless streak this season to six.
And for the most part, it hasn’t been pretty. The Raiders were run-ruled twice, including a 15-0 trouncing at home at the hands of cross-county rival Tullahoma and were out-scored 44-6 overall last week.
On Thursday, playing in Smyrna, Coffee County was routed 11-1 by Hen-dersonville. Friday CHS lost 4-0 at Oakland, and Saturday the Red Raiders lost two contests at Siegel: the first to 3-2 to Siegel followed by an 8-3 loss to LaVergne.
