Fire destroys Coffee County home on Powers Bridge Rd.

At approximately 9:45 a.m. Wednesday area firefighters responded to a structure fire at 2766 Powers Bridge Rd. in Coffee County.

When firefighters from North Coffee Volunteer Fire Department arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flames and the fire had spread to a nearby pickup truck. (Click here to watch a video of the fire)

According to Coffee County Sheriff’s deputies on the scene, no one was in the home and no injuries were reported. Neighbors told authorities that a dog may have been inside but he was later found outside. The home is owned by Phillip Sartain, who was at work out of town at the time of the fire. The structure and the nearby pickup truck were a total loss, according to authorities.
