CHS principal John Bush resigns

Central High School principal John Bush has resigned his post at the school.

Bush, a longtime educator in the Coffee County School system, will finish out the school year and leave in June.

He was named principal in June of 2011 after spending eight years in administration at the school. This year marks his 16th year in the system and his 10th in administration. A text message sent to Bush for comment late Thursday was not returned immediately.

Under Bush’s guidance, the school launched the Renaissance Rewards program in 2006 and he was named Jostens Renaissance Coordinator of the Year in 2010.
