The Central High School Soccer Raiders defeated Bradley
Central 4-0 Tuesday at Cleveland to improve their season record to 8-5-2.
Team-leading scorer Ricky Ramirez kicked the first goal of the game on an assist from goalkeeper Josh Jones. Jones’s punt bounced over the head of the Bradley defenders, and Ramirez outhustled them to the ball.
Dallon Lush was the next to score shortly after a corner kick by David Bynum. Ramirez scored the team’s third goal in the first half on an assist by senior Baltazar Barrera. In the second half Barrera scored on an assist from sophomore Abelen Barrera.
The Raiders are now 7-3 in their last 10 games. Coffee
County’s final game of the regular season is the annual Coffee Cup match against Tullahoma. This year’s contest will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at Carden-Jarrell field. A senior night recognition ceremony will be held before the game, at 6:30 p.m.
Friday’s scheduled match against Franklin County has been cancelled.
The Raiders begin district play Monday, May 7, at 7 p.m. against White County at Carden-Jarrell field in Manchester.
