Season ends for Lady Raiders with sectional loss to Riverdale

    The Central High School soccer Raiders made it farther in the postseason than any Coffee County school has ever done before, but the season finally ended Saturday with a 4-0 loss at Smyrna in a sectional match.   • Givens resigns as Raiders basketball coach

    Central High School boys basketball coach Scott Givens announced his resignation today after four years of coaching and teaching in Coffee County. Givens will take a position as assistant boys basketball coach at South Forsyth High School in Cumming, Ga., northeast of Atlanta. He will be assisting head coach Manson Hill, who won back-to-back Georgia state girls basketball titles at nearby Gainesville High School in 2003 and 2004. Givens assisted
