CHS tennis wins four at district match

The Coffee County Central tennis teams participated in the individual and doubles portion of the District 8-AAA tournament Thursday morning at Sewanee. Coffee County’s Karlee Reed and Maddie Taylor earned 8-2 and 8-1 victories, respectively, in singles competition, while Walker Seagrove (8-1) and Will Davis (8-0) were handed losses.     Coffee County's Brianna Jones was presented with a plaque commemorating her 1,000th career strikeout Tuesday at Lawrence County. Jones struck out 17 Tullahoma batters Wednesday as the Lady Raiders posted a 3-0 victory.

    One day after surpassing 1,000 strikeouts for her high-school career, senior Brianna Jones fanned 17 batters as the Coffee County Lady Raiders improved to 21-3-1 on the season with a 3-0 victory at Tullahoma Wednesday.
