The March 2nd meeting of the AEDC Woman’s Club was a mix of music entertainment. We enjoyed singer/songwriter Carson Hill from Nashville and North Carolina and she really entertained us with her music. Then our Ways & Means Chairperson, Cecelia Schlagheck, led our scholarship drive and followed it up by leading the ladies in singing songs by George M. Cohen. During the “sing along” over thirty door prizes were given out. The whole meeting was a lot of fun.
The AEDC Woman’s Club next meeting will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2017. April is an exciting meeting because scholarships will be awarded to 6 students from Coffee County HS, Franklin County HS, Huntland HS, and Tullahoma HS. It is always so great to meet the recipients and their parents. Susan Gritton, Senior Vice President/General Counsel for Ascend Federal Credit Union, will be asking all of us, “Can you make a difference?” She has an extensive human relations, labor, and employment law experience. Table donations in April will go to Good Samaritan of Winchester.
The women of the AEDC Woman’s Club would like to invite you to come and visit the Lakeside Center, get to know the wonderful ladies, be involved with programs, and become a member.
