The Lady Raiders improved their record to 11-11 overall and 3-1 in the district. The win raises Coffee County’s standing to second in 6-AAA. The Warriorettes fall to 16-7 overall and 2-2 in the district.

The Coffee County ladies played hard throughout the contest and made the most at the free-throw line, where they sank 16.

“I really thought we executed our game plan,” said Lady Raiders’ coach David Muckle. “I’m proud of our patience. We kept our poise.”

Alaina Lusk enjoyed her second straight 20-point game with 20, including nine free throws. Also scoring in the victory were Ginny Clayborne (12), Katie Reid (8), Missy Jones (6), and Ta’Neesa Buchanan (5). Top scorers for the Warriorettes were Kelsey Roberts (15) and Latha Wilson (9).

The boys never led in their contest. The Red Raiders fell behind 13-2 early and trailed 42-31 at the half. A strong third-quarter run brought Coffee County to within one at 52-51. By the middle of the fourth, however, the Warriors had gone on a run of their own and opened up a 13-point lead.

Scoring for the Red Raiders were Lance Crismond (21), Lake Elam (14), Lucas Crismond (12), Anthony Jackson (9), Brock Ivey-Bodman (5), Addison Carter (4), and Kohl Young (2). Top scorers for White County were A.J. Wilkerson (19), Kane Young (18), Kordell Henderson (15), and Dalton Nash (14).

The Red Raiders fall to 8-13 overall and 0-4 in District 6-AAA. White County is tied for first in the district at 3-1 and 15-8 overall.
