The Lady Raider basketball team ended a six game losing streak last Tuesday with a win over Summit and picked up their first 8-AAA win of the season Friday night against Lincoln County.
CHS used eight blocked shots, including one at the buzzer which secured the win, from senior Kelsey Munn and clutch shooting from Tyger Fenton and Katie Reid to pick up the 48-46 upset win.
The Lady Raiders trailed by six points early in the fourth quarter but were able to hit c lutch free throws down the stretch to earn the win.
Fenton led the way with 14 points while Sara Brown netted nine and Reid scored eight.
In the boys game, Lincoln County jumped out to an 11-4 lead early before the Raiders came storming back for a 76-57 win.
By the mid-way point in the second quarter the Raiders had taken a 28-27 lead on four straight points from Addison Carter and never looked back.
Carter had an outstanding game, finishing with 23 points, 16 of which came in the first half but it was Lucas Crismond who led the way for CHS with 30 points.
Up next CHS will remain in District 8-AAA action when it hosts Franklin County at 6 p.m. Tuesday night.
